A commanding pair of cast iron andirons, without their billet bars, in the form of noble seated St. Stephen's, or are they St Mark's, lions, dating from circa 1850. They have been stripped of old paint to reveal original detailing, then repainted in heatproof black.Please note that these items are not the common flat-backed variety that one often sees.
