STOP PRESS:
I now have another identical pair of genuine antique andirons, minus their billet bars. Ideal for a classical themed room or as a way of creating an equally rare and stylish log box. I can recommend the local blacksmith who worked on the items photographed above.£1000.
New addition: A pair of cast bronze replicas of the same style of andirons naturally aged over five years with a natural patina of verdigris. Unmachined and without back-bars. £750. SUPREMELY HEAVY. Photos elsewhere on this site.
